Audi S5 Recalls
The S5 has been recalled 3 times. The 2011 and 2012 model years have been involved in the most campaigns.
Recalls are free repairs, initiated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or Audi itself, for a widespread safety problem. They might be a pain, but a recalled problem is better than an ignored one.

There's growing concern that more than 46,000 Audi vehicles can end up with misaligned rear axles.

But the pretensioner in the 2017 Audi A5 Cabriolet and S5 Cabriolet is anything but safe according to CarComplaints.com:
"the micro-gas generator within the pretensioner could detach during a crash and become a dangerous projectile."
Seat belt missiles? That's a new one. The pretensioner recall is expected to begin in May 2017.
