  The VW water pump class action was filed over the primary engine water pump driven off one of the balance shafts, not the electric auxiliary water pump. A Virginia based lawsuit says Audi's start-stop system suffers from defects that cause delayed acceleration or lurching that can put occupants in danger.
The plaintiffs say that Audi HQ and dealerships will just tell owners to deactivate the start-stop system if they don't like it, but the system starts up automatically each time the ignition is pressed and must be manually deactivated by pressing a separate burden. Audi may have forgotten to properly tighten an airbag module’s mounting screws, prompting a recall in a tiny number of vehicles. Twelve!
The affected vehicles are the 2018 A5 Sportback and 2017-2018 A4 allroad. At this point it’s unclear if they’ll need to recall all sold vehicles to find the unlucky 12.
The recall should begin on January 26, 2019.
